The Dead Kennedys - Government Flu

The Dead Kennedys album, In God We Trust, Inc., and their "B-Side" follow-up, Plastic Surgery Disasters, kickstarted the PMRC, as well as MTV music videos advocating for teenage rebellion, ushering in both bands like (specifically) Twisted Sister and the decade of hair metal which followed.

Political luminaries'... wives just weren't gonna take it. Ahem. And Tennessee not only hosted the 1980s' PMRC Hearings, but the raving lunacy of Kefauver, the housewives' hysteria surrounding Deepthroat, and the Goddamned Scopes Monkey Trial!

Great place to live. And the people...

Where the PMRC failed, the Satanic Panic of the era prevailed in disallaying the obvious wrong-headedness of questioning political Authority. And killed a lot of people.

Government Flu details the coming age of "Chemtrails" poisonings the US Government "legalized" in 1997 -- only 45 years after the US military decided to do it anyway. This methodology is termed "Gain of Function research and The OddBlog delights in reporting on the many, many, many cases of such activity.

But this post is about the PMRC and the Satanic Panic bands like the Dead Kennedys played an unwitting role in. Dee Snider, former lead singer of Twisted Sister, even testified at the PMRC hearing, as did Bob Denver and Frank Zappa. The PMRC hearings were ushered in by PMRC founder, Tipper Gore, and overseen by her then husband and future (now former) Vice-President, Al Gore.

Vatican Sponsors Workshop on Exorcism, Satanism

The Vatican is sponsoring a weekend workshop at the Regina Apostolorum Pontifical University in Rome, focusing on Satanism, exorcism, and sharing information on various Devil-worshiping sects. According to some Catholic experts, the Internet makes learning about Satanism and the Occult so much easier that it's resulted in a surge of interest in these dark interests.

The workshop brings together professionals from several realms, including psychologists and doctors. Non-religious people often argue demonic possession and similar concepts in which the victim loses control of his will or body are actually attacks brought upon by some mental/emotional dysfunction.

'Apostle' Decrees USB Satanic

The "Apostle" Welder Saldanha of the Paz do Senhor Amado sect claims USB connections are Satanic because the symbol resembles the trident of Satan. The cult, whose name translates into "Peace of the Beloved Lord," allowed its followers to trade-in their USB cords and connections for those more in-line with the Word of Jesus Christ.

I do not know if said Apostle has heard of FireWire, but I tend to think he wouldn't approve.

The Hooded Folk in Black

Satanists and cultists were generally associated with cattle mutilation in the 1970s. To a very large degree, this was due to the Tate-LaBianca murders of 1969, which were performed by cultists from The Manson Family. Such "Satanic Panic" would later lead a bunch of Southern crackers to arrest and convict three innocent boys in West Memphis, Arkansas for the murders and sexual mutilations of three young boys most likely committed by a parental figure associated with one of the boys who now lives in Millington, TN. While some of the boys are receiving retrials thanks to the shoddy "workmanship" of the so-called police and other lawmakers who colluded and conspired to destroy them, all said lawmakers have since been promoted and it is unlikely the innocent boys who have come to be called the West Memphis Three will ever be freed - until the people who put them in jail are dead. Let us pray for their early deaths - hopefully at the hands of an angry mob.

But I digress...

It is impossible to know if any of the stories regarding cultmembers and "men in black hoods" are true, but the eyewitness accounts - many of which were verified by more than one person in the areas at the time - do ring true.

Take the case of the blue vase discovered by a Colorado man back in 1975: inside, he found a cow's ear and tongue, along with a scalpel. Many mutilated livestock were discovered in Colorado in the 1970s, several of which were sent to a local veterinary college for autopsy. Unfortunately, only a handful were in such a condition as to be autopsied. Five of the six which were in good enough condition to be examined had died of natural causes and were determined to have later been mutilated by humans. This could never be proven, though - even by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, which got involved. The story even appeared in Esquire magazine in 1975.

Several farmers, ranchers, and hikers complained of black helicopters and twin-engine aircraft flying about during this time. One farmer said an unmarked, white helicopter opened fire on him as he drove his tractor in a field near his home! But we'll get to those later...

Near Cove Creek in Idaho, a forest serviceman reported several figures dressed in black robes and hoods in September, 1975. The next day, several cattle were found mutilated in the general area. Even though a search was launched, the assumed cultists were never found. On October 9th of the same year, a motorist on Highway 95 in northern Idaho was forced to turn his car around when he encountered 15 "masked people" forming a roadblock with linked arms! It was about 3:30 in the morning. 3am is often associated with black magic and cults dedicated to dark gods, especially witchcraft.

1975 was a remarkable years for cattle mutilations in the U.S.

Aryan Sorcerer Jailed

Dmitriy V. Sklyarov, 20, is a self-proclaimed "Aryan Sorcerer" and leader of an Indiana separatist group which denounces blacks and Jews. Other members include... no one.

Dmitriy held a 30-minute "rally" on the steps of Muncie's courthouse in March, 2007, declaring his hatred for blacks and Jews and posted much the same nonsense on his MySpace page. He dropped-out of highschool, where it is reported he stayed in trouble. He called the school recently and left messages claiming to have created dolls in the images of several teachers, which he adorned with his own blood. He predicted the teachers would become sick "and die." For good measure, he added a "Hail, Satan!"

Dmitriy was actually arrested for repeatedly biting a 9-year old boy left in his care.

But you would have to really read the story from The Star Press of Eastern Indiana to find that out - it's buried somewhere in there.

To quote a typical, Eastern Indiana resident (Go, Hayseeds!), commenting on the piece:
all i can say is freak-a-zoid robot, mindbender, fruitcake, whacko, weirdo.schitzo, idiot, satan worshipper, hannibal lechter, and get the hell out of the USA> go home, you don't belong here.your nuts but the big boys in prison town will take care of YOU>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Cult Kidnaps, Beats Woman

A 42-year old woman found severely beaten and lying in a ditch claims she was kidnapped and beaten by a Santeria cult she formerly belonged to.

Michelle Wood says she was once a member of a cult in Florida which practices Santeria, a Satanic religion most prevalent in the Caribbean. She quit nine months ago and began attending a Christian church.

She says she was confronted by men who took her to a house where people were using drugs. Inside was a bound teenage boy they threatened to kill if she did not participate in rituals. She was attacked by a woman wielding a knife and led outside to where a fire was burning. Wood managed to escape, but the group caught-up to her Sunday.

They were preparing for the Autumn Equinox and needed her as part of the Circle. While she does not remember many of the details following and was once hospitalized for being suicidal, police say she was found with nylon rope around her wrists and that there was "obvious cult activity." An investigation is underway.

Swedish Girl Bedeviled by Sign of Satan

A Swedish family is upset over the fact their daughter's tax ID number ends in "666."

The Swedish Tax Authority issues personal identification numbers (PIN) to everyone and this number is crucial to everyday life. But The Holy Bible warns of this in the last book, Revelation. It is also in this book that the number 666 is referred to as the Number of the Beast.

While her parents are distraught and want the number changed, authorities are less than accommodating, noting that about 100 girls end up with 666 in their PIN every year.

Corrupt Judge Denies West Memphis 3 New Trial

A corrupt judge has denied the West Memphis Three a new trial based on newly-collected DNA evidence because he says the lack of DNA evidence does not indicate proof of Innocence.

Damien Echolls, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley were convicted of the sex-related deaths of three boys 15 years ago. All three have been in prison since then. There was no evidence which led to the boys' arrests or convictions, aside from a coerced confession from Misskelley, who is functionally retarded (having an IQ of around 72).

The injustices these young boys faced at the hands of corrupt, Southern cops (which is redundant) led to the phrase "Satanic panic." In the trial, prosecutors used the facts that Echolls listened to Metallica, read Stephen King, and knew who Aleister Crowley was as "evidence" to convict him of these heinous crimes.

Since their convictions, tons of evidence has been uncovered by filmmakers, private investigators, authors, and independent researchers which not only clear the unjustly convicted men, but point to an entirely different witness (who was moved to the Millington, TN Naval Base). Yet most of West Memphis' Powers-That-Be were directly involved in the trial; in fact, their collective rise to power was directly due to their collusion and conspiracy to defraud the public in this Clinton-era case.

All prosecutors, police, judges, and others who worked in any official capacity at the time of the West Memphis Threes' arrests should be prosecuted for Conspiracy, withholding of evidence, manufacturing of evidence, perjury, misconduct, discrimination, three counts of murder, child rape, malfeasance, and attempted murder.

More on Bogies

I recently brought up the subject of Bogies - dwarfen creatures who were said to be the servants of the Devil. In particular, I was discussing how an EVP recently featured on the Ghost Hunters show sounded like it said, "I want my bones," which is what Bogies were said to have moaned (their "Whachoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" catch-phrase).

Then I was reminded that there are pictures and even film which purport to show images of dwarfen creatures. In fact, while not necessarily identified as Bogies, these creatures are not altogether uncommon. Reports of them most often come up around locales associated with Poltergeist activity - more specifically, sites generally associated with tales of human suffering, evil deeds, and so forth, such as the Waverly Sanitorium.

The more I think about this, the more I see the need to classify these creatures as Bogies, along with all the Satanic associations.

But, of course, we all know about photographic fakery, which reached its zenith at the turn of the 20th-Century. I will post more about that today.

Ghost Hunters EVP Identified?

Now, you might not buy this, but earlier, when we heard the EVP on Ghost Hunters I said I did not think it said, "Hello." I offered some guesses (post immediately following), but I have to be honest, I couldn't make it out during the program and missed the recast. I originally thought it said something about "bones." I didn't mention that earlier because I couldn't make any sense of it and, out of context, I could only think of "my bones" or "I'm bones," or something.

Bogies are horrid, dangerous spirits thought to attack or frighten anyone who doesn't show them respect. They were thought to be short, squat, coal black and hairy, and have ugly, grinning faces. This is the basis of the Bogie-Man (Bogeyman, Boogieman) legend, which parents use to frighten their kids. Then I read this from a source I got from the Decaturville, TN Public Library about Bogies:

"It was once thought they were the most powerful among ghosts because they served as the assistants to the Devil during his evil-doing amongst mankind. They apparently have the ability to change their shape at will and sometimes make a wailing noise that sounds as if they are calling, 'I want my bones.'" - source, pg. 18 (italics mine)

How kick-ass is that shit?

Given the nature of the Hell-Fire Caves -- which most certainly were used by Satanic clubs (one of which Ben Franklin, along with several other Founding Fathers, was a member1) - doesn't that EVP sound like it was saying, "I want my bones?"

And, before the skeptics get to hollering, remember that these cats were practicing their rituals -- whatever those may have been (this was long before the days of LaVey) -- in the days when Bogies were still a very popular legend. Today, they've taken the form of the Bogeyman, and the whole, "I want my bones," and Devil-worshipping / assisting aspects have been forgotten. But when these guys were doing whatever they were doing, this was a popular legend in its original, Satanic form.

I happen to know a bit about these clubs and the people who participated in them, as they've filtered down into such "secret societies" as the Skull & Bones and others (which are based directly on these original Hellfire Club sects), and they were "Satanic" in nature -- mainly because they openly-mocked the Puritanical practices and beliefs of the practicing Church. I put Satanic in quotes because their Pagan rituals were largely drunken romps -- yet they did invoke Satan in mockery.

This being said, it's not that these guys were necessarily worshipping Satan as we think of it today, but the basic idea was the same: some Dogmatic rituals were practiced more to mock Christianity -- or, more specifically, the dominant Christian doctrines and ideology of the times -- then they all got drunk, ate too much, did some drugs, and had "illicit" and "deviant" sex. Of course, they likely dipped into all sorts of religions and Occult practices as they heard about or learned of them, all of which would have been considered "Satanic" at the time, which is why I bother to make the division.

At any rate, whether truly Bogies or merely "Masters" taunting the investigators, the legend not only fits the time, it fits the locale, and sounds like what I heard in the Ghost Hunters EVP. If these are the recording of ethereal voices manifest from an independent intelligence that was alive during these times, then it would certainly be aware of the legend and may (or may not) have been taunting the investigators. Another theory is that the intelligence is not aware that the legend has since died, so it is not trying to test their intelligence, knowledge, or resources -- just trying to scare them away.

Maybe the legend of the bogie as a malevolent spirit is true and it deserves attention as a species(?) or independent type of haunting.
