5 Cults from the 1960s and 1970s

America, and the Western World in general, underwent a Spiritual Revival in the late 1960s and early '70s which experts largely attribute to a drop in organized religion and rise in Agnosticism and Atheism.  The "Free Love" vibe of 1960s America gave rise to numerous cults, several of which originated in California and charmed Hollywood.

This Spiritual Revival spawned numerous, pseudo-religious cults and generated widespread interest in them, but also later did them in.  The backlash from traditional, and far more organized, religious believers was so strong that it evolved into an Evangelical Revival in the late 1970s which then metastasized (Stateside) into Televangelism the following decade. 

The original belief systems espoused by these 1960s sects owe much to Theosophy, a religious movement founded by Madame Blavatsky during America's first massive Spiritual Revival at the turn of the 20^th-Century, following the end of the Civil War.  

That American interest in Spirituality should peak following major wars with massive casualties is no coincidence -- neither is the omnipresence of Theosophy with Judaeo-Christian overtones, the militarization of the more successful cults, nor the media hype surrounding them.  While most were either fueled entirely by sex and drugs or later exposed as con games, they were harmless... some cults, however, were more sinister -- and it can be difficult to tell the two apart, even today.

Introduction to, and induction into, most cults is passive at first: Many start as open religious constructs or social movements, just like modern "political" groups, becoming progressively less communal as one rises in the ranks.  They are uniformly hierarchal, and ultra-secretive at the top.

In fact, the formulation of several, modern, American protest groups is directly patterned after the emergence of cults in the 1960s, some of which were manipulated by clandestine agencies using intelligence gathered from the first American Spiritualism Revival, refitted for the era (Feminism, Civil Rights, Irony as anti-Establishmentarianism, et. al.) for recruiting efforts.

Almost all of these cults are based on slivers of numerous religions and bits of science, with heavy Theosophical, Eastern, and Judaeo-Christian influences; most revolve around one or two central, Messianic figures (usually the founder[s]), generally thought to be somehow mystical; and larger sects uniformly exhibit paramilitary organization.  The latter tend to be "Doomsday" cults, but only as a generality.  Most were largely innocuous (all things considered), and many former members went on to live fulfilling lives in mainstream society.

Other similarities are contextual, as mentioned previously, reflecting the era in which the cults were spawned.  For example, many ironically adopted Satanic, and vaguely Nazi, emblems and dress early-on -- primarily for recruitment purposes.  Originally regarded as an act of defiance, such fashion quickly became counter-culture kitsch and rightfully recognized as a cry for attention.  Several cults also had (drug) ties to motorcycle gangs that used similar imagery, fueling the mystery surrounding them.

That is, until the Tate-LaBianca murders.  

• Anton LaVey (d. 1997) established The Church of Satan in Los Angeles in 1967.  After his The Satanic Bible sold over one million copies worldwide, LaVey appeared as The Devil in Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby (1968), and on the album covers of both The Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour and The Eagles' Hotel California.  He claimed responsibility for several high-profile deaths to which he had no connection, such as that of Jayne Mansfield (a former member), which landed LaVey and his "Church" in hot water following the Tate-LaBianca Murders.  While sensational in its time, LaVey's Church of Satan languished in obscurity until the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, when it was resurrected by well-coifed talk show hosts.  LaVey had previously worked as a lion-tamer, carnival worker, and police photographer.

• The Church of Scientology was founded in 1953 by writer, L. Ron Hubbard, and survives to this day, boasting many famous members from the Hollywood community.  Hubbard's best-selling book, Dianetics, serves as the introductory foundation, but there are at least eight levels of Scientology (not including the legendary Level 9, which only Hubbard himself is said to have reached), and members spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to reach each one.  A lot of cults -- a lot, many -- were splinters of Scientology, and many cult members came from, or went on to, other cults... some of which are very questionable.  The Church of Scientology itself has increasingly come under scrutiny in the last few years for its checkered legal past and reported malfeasances, but members say they are being persecuted.

• The Process Church of the Final Judgement was established in 1966 by Mary Ann McClean and Robert DeGrimston, who met at the London branch of the L. Ron Hubbard Institute of Scientology.  The two developed their own system of auditing called "The Process," and formed Compulsions Analysis, which was later renamed.  The Process Church found some small renown in the 1960s, eventually establishing churches across the United States.  Processeans dabbled in Nazi-chic and Satanic imagery and hob-knobbed with rock stars, but after Ed Sanders' 1971 book, The Family, directly implicated The Process Church of the Final Judgement as the real "Family" in the Charles Manson case, they revamped their image and beliefs and changed their name to the Foundation Church.  But the Process Church was directly tied to the founders' relationship (and also sex and drugs), and it fell apart once that ended.  Despite its former, considerable stature, it is almost entirely forgotten today.

• Heaven's Gate was founded by two people but is said to have sprung originally from Marshall Applewhite's inability to deal with his homosexuality.  During "Class," the cult held deep, philosophical discussions on many things, culminating in a shared belief that death -- "leaving one's vehicle [body]" -- was just another step on the path to Immortality, and mass suicide was the means by which they would all make that journey together.  Following the discovery of the Hale-Bop Comet in 1995, 39 Heaven's Gate followers donned brand new Nike sneakers, ate an applesauce tincture, then climbed into their compound bunks and died, believing a spaceship in the comet's tail would carry them onto that next stage of Immortality.

• The Source Family was the most akin to The Manson Family, although it had far more Hollywood cachet and only half as many murders.  While its public facade espoused the usual Hippie notions about returning to the Earth and Nature and rejecting societal norms and mores, The Source Family was mostly about sex and drugs... and a rock n roll band fronted by their Messianic leader, Father Yod.  Father Yod's real name was Jim Baker, and Jim Baker was almost certainly CIA (although that cannot be confirmed, it cannot be denied).  Whilst The Source Family outlasted the Manson Family, it eventually imploded due to its excesses, and disbanded after Baker leapt to his death in Hawaii on a homemade hang glider.

No rundown on 1960s cults would be replete without mentioning the Manson Family, in case I haven't, whose series of grisly murders brought the hippie movement to a brutal end, along with most of the cults and communes it had inspired.  While most of them died-down or dissolved entirely after the chilling Tate-LaBianca Murders, a few cults from the 1960s and '70s straggled on -- some exist, even today!  

The cult craze swept Japan a decade earlier, thanks to Operation: Golden Lily.

The US Government was Found Guilty of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Assassination

The Deep State Murdered MLK, Jr.

On December 8, 1999, a Memphis, TN jury took 30 minutes to return a Guilty verdict regarding the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.  Not only did the four week trial prove that the US government assassinated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on April 4, 1968, it proved that James Earl Ray was not the shooter.

While full transcripts of this under-reported civil case are available online, the FBI, local police, CIA, and general US military -- aka, "The Deep State" -- were all found to have had a hand in the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. in Memphis, TN.  James Earl Ray, on the other hand, was all but posthumously acquitted by the findings (he conveniently died in prison the year before).

Yet, to this day, mainstream propaganda outlets claim Ray, an escaped convict from Missouri, was a lone wolf with ties to White Supremacists who flew under the radar.

Seriously.

Less well-noted is the fact that he visited Los Angeles months before he was routed to Memphis.  While in L.A., James Earl Ray saw a $20 hypnotist named Reverend Xavier Von Koss... once.  He was also seeing a clinical psychologist named Dr. Mark Freeman, who also specialized in Hypnotism.  Actually, Ray (then using the name, Eric Galt) saw a slew of psychiatrists and hypnotists from the Los Angeles area in the months prior to Dr. King's assassination.

Again: Three months to the day before Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot, the alleged lone wolf shooter, James Earl Ray (as Eric Galt), was briefly under the care of a hypnotist in Los Angeles, CA, named Rev. X, and was reportedly involved with the Church of Scientology.

(Deniers from The Church of Scientology dispute this, of course.)

This is typical of of cases involving the CIA and "Manchurian Candidates:" The "unofficial" report is muddied with allegations of sexual deviance, involvement in counter-culture organizations, Anti-American movements, cults and the Occult, and so forth.  These allegations are used to discredit the lone wolf actor, and the trail of breadcrumbs is meant to confound investigators.

This is the CIA's Modus Operandi: Baffle them with Bullshit.

It should be noted that the bullet recovered from the scene of the crime did not match the gun Ray provided following his arrest in London, and the FBI had directly attempted to blackmail King into committing suicide!  But this was all covered-up by Prosecutors who persuaded Ray to plead Guilty so he could avoid a jury trial which carried the possibility of the Death Penalty.  Ray quickly recanted, however.

In all, the 1999 trial provided a wealth of evidence that conclusively proves the US government assassinated Martin Luther King, Jr., and exonerates James Earl Ray, yet no Criminal proceedings have taken place in the 20 years since the trial was held.

Fifty-one years after Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, his surviving relatives, along with the surviving relatives of both President John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy -- both of whom were also assassinated by US government agencies known colloquially as "The Deep State" -- called for new probes into the deaths of MLK, JFK, and RFK.

Crisis Intervention, Inc.: The UMBRELLA Conspiracy (DHS/CPS)

The DHS is best known as the acronym for the terrorist military giant, the Department of Homeland Security. However, the intentionally impoverished know it better as the Department of Human Services.  One of its branches is the CPS, or Child Protection Services -- a front for pedophiles and human traffickers protected by powerful entities in all sectors, specifically business, government, and media.  In Tennessee, one of the first states to adopt a statewide system of socialized healthcare, CPS is also a drug-testing company which runs the majority of pain management clinics throughout the surrounding area.

THE WHISPER CURE

Originally installed to detect Soviet atomic tests, America is covered by omnidirectional microphones reflected off "weather" balloons, satellites, and large, airborne vehicles that pick-up even the slightest breath and broadcast on a wide spectrum of frequencies.  This forms an UMBRELLA of surveillance beneath which not even angels can fart unheard.  In fact, these parabolic arrays are often used by Law Enforcement to pinpoint gunshots, especially in larger cities.

Operatives can arrive on-scene in moments to escalate very minor situations -- forcing murders, illegal kidnappings (private prison industry), and medical institutionalization.  This is known as gangstalking targeted individuals.  While rinky-dink operations usually resort to bolder methodologies, the most sophisticated use whispering voices only targeted individuals can hear... and accomplices and co-conspirators readily ignore.

These "voices" are also broadcast on TV and radio by agents and operatives working in the US Coalition media syndicate (Press Corps), as well as over computers and Internet-connected devices.  This form of gangstalking is meant to silence, intimidate, and escalate situations -- preying upon the Targeted Individual by exploiting feelings of shame, fear, unworthiness, and general despair.  In this scenario, the Targeted Individual is either driven to suicide, crime, drug addiction, or an institution.  In the latter scenario, the Targeted Individual is maliciously dosed with psychotropic medications developed by the Nazi CIA in the 1940s for use in "enhanced interrogation."

This is colloquially referred to as "Paranoid Schizophrenia" by the criminal underworld: An UMBRELLA term for the murderous SIGINT Operation, formerly known as Project: CHATTER (AnnA).

Infrasound is used to induce paranoia and fear, but also such medical maladies as Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's Disease, and similar (often paralytic) medical issues.  Paralyzed "units" -- cruelly referred to as "potatoes" -- are abused, but kept alive to collect their benefits.  They are used for sadistic, "experimental," medical testing, and can sometimes be seen in hardcore, pornographic, sadomasochistic films featuring military units.  Some of these are filmed in Flagstaff, AZ -- near the La Huacha Army Base -- others in Nevada, Texas, and overseas (mainly in the UK), but all are financed by the US Pentagon.

These "potatoes" are considered War Trophies.

CRISIS INTERVENTION, INC.

Filth, known as daesh in some countries and languages, include "defense contractors" fronting as medical organizations and religious institutions.  Many of these NGOs receive donations illegally that are re-routed into political elections as "Dark Money," as well as far Blacker Operations.  Some, such as the Church of Scientology, offer rehabilitation and community outreach programs to those in need (Narconon), only to lure them into highly dangerous cults that have tendrils running deep into all areas of Human Life, worldwide (and beyond) -- including the Legal, political, and corporate (all Commercial) sectors, as well as military Black Ops.  Some of these programs are referred to as "Crisis Acts."  Like the Children of God, the Church of Scientology also employs sex and sexuality, or "the honeypot," as a means of recruitment.

Similar organizations, such as extremist Christian-based NGOs, proffer similar programs using similar methodologies (all of these operations are the same, and run by the same conspirators) -- such as "Pray the Gay Away" concentration camps.  Streetgangs run work camps called group homes, while large medical corporations operate retirement centers and in-home hospice care through smaller front companies.  All of these are designed to enlist the victims in unnecessary insurance programs and rob them of their benefits -- especially their Disability and Social Security Insurance (SSI).  Forced prostitution is the name of the Game; G.O.D. suffers not a fool, or so the saying goes.

The NSA, NSC, and similar surveillance programs are rife with members of these, and many other, "religious" paramilitary organizations -- including Streetgangs, the members of which are known colloquially as "gangbangers."  But the deadliest are the corporations, most of which are non-taxable NGO that are media (crisis actors) and medical -based.  The Nazi DOJ (owners of theweirding.com, transferred from China -- unaffiliated with our little dog and pony show here) runs the private prison industry throughout America, and creates havoc in communities such as Charleston in order to make arrests that either fill prisons or the military's ranks.

Surveillance methods (FISA) also "allow" these evil, paramilitary organizations to illegally capture compromising images, film, and recordings of innocent civilians that are then used to extort, discredit, and defame those "They" determine to be unworthy of G.O.D.'s love.  "They" decide who deserves to be imprisoned, who deserves to be rehabilitated, and who deserves to be murdered.

High rates of Recidivism are ensured by releasing the worst offenders first.  Thus, society remains terrorized by these career criminals and their Law Enforcement conspirators, making it easier to drum-up support for harsher sentencing laws, more prisons, more police, and higher budgets to cover the ever-rising costs.

This scheme is known as "The Perfect Circle."

WHITE GENOCIDE

In retaliation for unemployed white males who refuse to take what they erroneously consider "welfare" (Social Security is paid into, which is why the NAZI government steals it back -- or "repatriates" it), countless unemployed white males have been silently murdered in what the media syndicate (Press Corps) continually misrepresents as an "opioid epidemic."  In reality, several of these deaths were not related to opioids at all; many were related to benzos, others to street drugs (mostly heroin and amphetamines), and most remain unsolved (stuck).

The "opioid crisis" is related to a long-standing demand for opioids by the MIC and professional sports clubs, which consume massive amounts both medically and recreationally.  This is why "we" Americans fight unwinnable wars (Occupation) in Afghanistan -- one of the few places on earth amenable to poppy cultivation.

Much of this necessary (to some people) medication is shipped to Baltimore (2018) for street usage, but a lot of it is used by professional and college-level athletic clubs.  The US military and medical sector stockpiles the rest.  Don't forget that chronic pain sufferers fought for decades to have this medication made available in the first place!  Many suffered indescribably, and died unnecessarily in abject pain, before this happened.

Many of these chronic pain and anxiety patients can be compromised simply by withholding their medication, or forcing them to take unnecessary medications in order to receive the medications they need.  This writer has personally experienced the latter, as Nurse Practitioners decided I needed experimental medications -- and refused me the doctor-prescribed meds they were supposed to dispense -- unless I agreed to take the former in conjunction.  Their excuse was that they did not "feel comfortable" dispensing the medication as prescribed.

The combination lead to easily foreseen contraindications that forced me into the Emergency Room, leading me to believe this second-guessing was intentional.  And Malicious.

POISON POND

In many institutional facilities, urine samples are collected from clean patients and prisoners, then substituted for those of dopefiends' -- primarily professional athletes, but also military personnel, favored prisoners, Law Enforcement agents, and others.

These clean samples are known in the criminal underworld as "water."

CPS routinely compromises drug abusers and legitimate, controlled medication patients alike by threatening the removal of their children.  In most cases, these victims agree to participate in "ongoing investigations" concocted by "Law Enforcement" agencies working in tandem with welfare agencies and streetgangs -- this is specific to the FBI (this is the FBI's modus operandi).  No progress is ever made in these alleged investigations.  They simply drag on and on for years, then it is decades later before heavily redacted confessions are released by these same agencies in an attempt to allay public concern.

Defense and Security personnel continue to fail as "lone" wolves (that's the plural) "fly under their radar," and crime escalates, allowing the former the opportunity to cry for more defense spending and greater funding... despite the fact that, were they competent in the first place, it follows that terrorist organizations, drug use, and crime would be on the decline.

Defense contractors (Special Security Office) use single sign-on (SSO) services to access databases of records compiled by the SSO (Social Security Office) to target individuals.  Gangstalking techniques railroad these otherwise innocuous people into compromising situations that allow these criminal elements to assume control of Benefits payments (SSI, Disability checks), or otherwise force the beneficiaries into situations in which they never would have been involved.

The FBI and State Police are two of the worst offenders in regards to this particular conspiracy, but they are far from alone.

The UMBRELLA Conspiracy

The DHS -- an acronym for both the Department of Human Services (Welfare) and the Department of Homeland Security (Defense) -- uses the pain management company, CPS, as a front for the forced trafficking and prostitution of children, the Disabled, and the unemployed.  CPS is also the acronym of Child Protection Services, which falls under the auspices of the DHS (the Department of Homeland Security/Human Services).  That these acronyms are synonymous is no coincidence; this allows the criminals to claim they legally "disclosed" their identity (they absolutely did not; this is known as Fraud -- it would be Identity Theft, were they individuals, but that's... another Conspiracy post [same conspiracy, too!]).  This leads to what is known as "manufactured consent."

And no one cares -- because this is largely run by the Black Mafia Family (BMF), FBI, and similarly-aligned organizations, and primarily preys upon impoverished Southerners and disenfranchised minorities in urban areas.

That is the DHS/CPS (Clarksville, TN) UMBRELLA Conspiracy, comprising the alleged "Opioid Epidemic," the all-too real "Panda Express" (Pizzagate), and far worse.  It really is all related, far from theoretical, and all leads back to the same Federal Department:

US6011991 - Gangstalking Technology and The I/O Process (Naturalization)

The I/O Naturalization Process

US Patent #6011991 is a form of electronic "telepathy" using computers, satellites, and monitors.  Radio waves, infrared, and other forms of telecommunications technology can be broadcast directly into the receivers' brains using this (and suppressed) form(s) of technology.  While this is largely used by the US Military Industrial Complex and government, it is available to anyone with the money to afford it (such as corporations), means to develop it independently, or with connections to installations such as the Pentagon (DoD/CIA/Google under ALPHABET, Inc.).

Hearing voices is frightening -- especially when combined with force compression tech, gravitational wave tech, knowing that electronic home devices are spying on you, and worse -- and is usually enough to send one spiraling into a manufactured nightmare, and right into wherever They want you (prison, mental institution, military, et.al.).  The criminal underworld defines this as "Paranoia Schizophrenia," a non-existent and untreatable "disease" compounded by the prescription of psychotropic medications developed by the CIA in the 1940s and '50s (under MK-ULTRA) to accelerate these brainwashing techniques (Naturalization).

This is known as "The Process."

The ON/OFF technique is a particularly oft-employed hypnotic technique once thought (by this writer) to be exclusive to pornographers.  Pornographers use the ON/OFF technique to acclimate "young" (new to the business, not necessarily age-wise) marks to performing sex acts in front of a camera and crowd.  The "performer" is continually told that the camera is ON or OFF until s/he learns to ignore it, and the environment, and merely "enjoy The Process."  This breaks down their natural inclination to embarrassment, guilt, or shame, making them more willing to perform ever more daring acts.

This is classified as a Naturalization technique -- naturalizing the behavior of, or making the behavior seem natural to, the subject.  This is particular, but not exclusive, to I/O psychology -- or Industrial and Organizational Psychology -- a military specialty.  Interestingly, I/O in computer terms is Input/Output -- which is also slang for sex (particularly in the dystopian Cyberpunk genre -- "The Old In and Out").  In less clinical terms, it is known to pimps as "turning out a trick."

Both Christian extremist sects (basically, all X-ian church groups and schools) and Scientologists use the Naturalization Process -- as do pimps -- to exact a "flattening" of emotions and emotional responses, thus steeling their subjects against their targets' verbal response.  Lawyers and Law Enforcement personnel use it to train witnesses for testimony, and the military uses it as early as Basic Training.  Naturalization is a basic precept of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

In effect, The Process creates sociopathic personalities, which can also result in further psychiatric damage; the Naturalization Process is sometimes called "brainwashing."  In fact, there is literally a cult known as The Process Church whose members were known as the Processians, which we will discuss in an upcoming post (they're an early offshoot of Scientology).

Crazy shit, right?

Yet most of it works this way: Just as OSS, or Office of Strategic Services = SSO, or Special Security Office -- a division of COMINT, an UMBRELLA term.  Which, interestingly enough, also stands for both Social Security Office and Single Sign-On.  That last link is for a Single Sign-On service used by Law Enforcement in Arkansas -- the original home of the Clinton Network (NOTE: That link is being tracked; open with caution) -- which secured its Overlord status through the theft of a criminal database known as INSLAW in the late 1980s.  Parrable.com is another single-sign-on service used by Law Enforcement and paramilitary organizations working for, or under, the DHS, DoD, and/or other Federal government programs.

These anagrams, palindromes, acronyms, and easy-enough-to-overlook cryptographs are considered legal "disclosure" -- despite the fact that they are anything but, particularly to civilians and citizens who have no idea about interoffice abbreviations used in "classified" communications.  Take, for another example, the Clinton Global Initiative: An acronym for CGI -- the very epitome of "Fake News."

Similar methods are employed to "radicalize" individuals, particularly online.  By infiltrating users' social networks, and posing as friends and contacts, aggressive gangstalking escalates into open mockery, humiliation, and terrorism.  The victim gradually (or immediately) desires revenge, and the target of their revenge is either someone the gangstalkers want out of the way, or is quickly changed through a rotating pattern, signal delays or relays, and general confusion.  This "two birds with one stone" approach is favored by US police across America.

Notifications, an invention seized upon by fast-moving social media, accelerates this process by acting as poppers.  Technology developed by the CIA in the 1940s and 1950s -- especially by such luminaries as Pluharich and Lab Nine -- that include devices covered by Patent US6011991, 6506148-B2, US4877027, and others, are used to gangstalk targeted individuals and force them into destitution, prostitution, criminal activity, or otherwise compromise their health, safety, and livelihood so as to fully compromise and discredit them.

This overall Operation comprises such early programs as CHATTER and COMINT -- part of the UMBRELLA Project: ECHELON (SIGINT) used by the NAZI military forces and installations, governments, corporations, and religious and "psychiatric" institutions.  Or, basically, everyone with a desire to impress and enforce strict behavioral codes on Programmable Life Forms (PLF).

Machine code and the management, or Overlording, of peoples rely on the same I/O -- or Input/Output -- Process in order to achieve results.  This Naturalization Process, a fundament of Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology, is colloquially known as Brainwashing.

The Nine

The September 1999 issue of Fortean Times (FT:126) ran a cover story entitled, "Plan 9 from Outer Space."  PYRAMID SCHEME! reads the cover.  The title is a reference to the famously bad Ed Wood movie, but the article is about another "Nine:" 

The Nine is an organization founded by Andrija Puharich, aka Henry K. Pluharich.  Pluharich is best known publicly for having discovered Uri Geller.  Less well-known is the fact that Puharich was a CIA operative.

Lab Nine was established at Pluharich's Ossining, New York estate, and included European nobility, multi-millionaire businessmen, scientists, and figures close to the US President.  Star Trek creator, Gene Roddenberry, was also involved -- he even produced a movie based on The Nine.

In 1973's Prelude to the Landing on Planet Earth (or Briefings for the Landing on Planet Earth), The Nine claimed they were actually the Ennead of the Heliopolis -- Egyptian gods including Isis and Horus, the Egyptian entity Aleister Crowley claims to have channeled in his Book of Law.  While Lab Nine disbanded in 1978 after Pluharich fled to Mexico, its tendrils run deep -- extending well into the highest echelons of government, business, and military sectors even today.

Pluharich was an Army doctor directly involved in the CIA's MKULTRA program with Dr. Gottleib in the 1950s.  Their experiments included drugs, hypnosis, and beaming radio signals into victims' brains.  The Round Table Foundation, where The Nine made their first appearance, was also founded by Pluharich in 1948 -- and was a Pentagon front for medical and parapsychological research.

The Nine continued well beyond Pluharich's involvement, which ended around 1980, following events at his Ossining estate (including arson) that sent him fleeing to Mexico, claiming the CIA was after him.  (Pluharich was working for US intelligence at the time.)  Phyllis Schlemmer, a Florida-based psychic healer and agent of The Nine since the 1970s, published her first book, The Only Planet of Choice, in 1992.  People involved in The Nine rose to power in many fields throughout this time, but specifically in the worlds of politics and the New Age movement.

The Nine's incredible influence over America continues to this day... and well beyond.  It currently operates under the name "IS," an acronym with numerous meanings.

France Tries Scientology

Scientology's veracity has come under question in France and the trial has begun. It centers on a woman who says she was pressured into "donating" tens of thousands of dollars to the Church of Scientology in an effort to "cure her poor mental state." IOW, her claim is that she was hoodwinked by what amounts to a "cult" in American terms; France sees Scientology as a "sect" and it can be banned if this case, or others like it, result in such a decision. While this is the first time the entire religion has been taken to court, individuals representing the Church of Scientology have faced similar suits in French courts.

Lawyers say they plan to show how their client was duped by dubious "cures" and practices, as well as clever mental and emotional manipulation by agents of the Church. Church of Scientology officials say they will vigorously defend their religion and rites and have already been tried for this matter.

Scientology on Trial in France

The religion of Scientology is going on trial in France for "organized fraud," known as Racketeering in America.

According to lawyers for one of the plaintiffs, a woman was approached by members of the church and offered a free personality test. In the end, she spent over 20,000 euros in sundry items, including books, equipment, and illegally prescribed drugs.

Scientology is not recognized as a religion in France; it is seen as a commercial enterprise and has been closely monitored. Backers of the religion say they have already faced such charges and they should not be brought again.

The case should be heard in 2009.

Hypersonic Mind Control

Hypersonic sound technology delivers waves of hypersonic sound at a pitch undetectable by human ears. When the waves hit a solid object, such as a person's body, the waves slow down and reform to create a sound which is delivered directly into the target's eardrums; people around the person hear nothing.

A&E Television used the technology to promote their new show, Paranormal State, in New York. When people heard about it, they came to experience the technology for themselves. The advertisement whispered, "Who's there? What's that? It's not your imagination!" Only those who were in the waves' path could hear the ad, which sounds as though it originates inside your head.

While others are interested in hypersonic sound technology's advertising application, the technology is being used for better means elsewhere. The New York Public Library uses the technology to allow people standing in front of a bank of TVs to hear the news; others in the library hear nothing. Future applications might include allowing club-goers to hear music without disturbing surrounding residents, and making it so that ambulance sirens would only be heard by those in front of the vehicle. The technology may one day make headphones obsolete.

But consumer advocacy groups are worried about the possibilities for invasion of privacy. Manufacturers of hypersonic sound devices say their fears are overblown.

Germans to Ban Scientology?

German officials have ruled the Church of Scientology unconstitutional, leading many to speculate that the fringe religion may soon be banned in the country.  Many Germans, like many around the world, accuse the organization of cult-like practices and financially exploiting its members.

Scientology is not recognized as a religion in Germany and officials have asked their domestic intelligence agency to look into their status as an association.  Scientology has been closely monitored by German agencies for years and these agencies are now being asked to draw up a report in advance of this decision.

This has come to a head since January, when Scientologists opened a new church in the German capital of Berlin.  Many people have complained about active recruiting.  Germany has approximately 6000 Scientologists who demand a right to "freedom of religion."

Scientology was founded in America by science-fiction writer, L. Ron Hubbard, in the 1950s.  It has come under scrutiny throughout the years for its closely-guarded secret rites, as well as many of its beliefs.  Scientology has become very popular since the 1990s, when it became Hollywood's religion du jour, boasting such A-list celebrity members as Tom Cruise and Jada Pinkett Smith.

UPDATE (2018):
According to Wikipedia, Scientology has not been banned in Germany, and claims to have five churches coming this year.  Although residents may remain skeptical, Germany is known for its sound decision-making and responsible choices.
