We do so love our conspiracy theories here to The OddBlog, and this one's got it all: Russian black ops, UFOs, alien mummies, hidden planets, Egyptian tombs, and the KGB! This one's a grand-daddy, so strap yourselves in for Project: ISIS (23). Every year or so, some asshole predicts the entire world is going to end on April 23rd! It's always some halfwit doomsday cultist passing himself off as an Evangelical -- but, if you stop and think it through, what's the difference? These doomsday Evangelicals are to 23 what the Church of Scientology is to Plan 9.
Julian Assange ran the website, WikiLeaks, dedicated to publishing the information mainstream media (MSM) and compromised news outlets refuse to carry: In short, what many refer to as "The News." Assange has made countless enemies by doing so, having been falsely accused of raping two women in one country, and now targeted for assassination by the US and UK joint forces (MI5, MI6, SIS, CIA, FBI, DIA, NSC, NSA, et. al.).
Years ago, Assange took refuge in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London. After tweeting about UK politics, the new Ecuadorian President, a sock puppet, terminated the award-winning journalist's Internet connection, effectively sentencing him to solitary confinement -- a barbarous practice in violation of International Law (yet widely practiced in third-world countries, such as the DR Congo, Saudi Arabia, and the US).
When one Alex Jones reached out to the embattled reporter's mother for an interview, Jones and his supporters were set upon by what is known as "The Deep State" -- a mafia of unelected, and unaccountable, parties which includes the Western media and their controlling corporations. Jones' infamous "InfoWars" was simultaneously pulled from Apple, Spotify, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and Google (both controlled by the very specifically titled Alphabet -- a practice the Deep State terms "Full Disclosure"), a move which prompted outrage and condemnationacross the board.
While Twitter has allowed Jones' account to remain open, it selectively deleted several Libertarian accounts, along with the accounts of such luminaries as the editorial director of AntiWar, Scott Horton, thanks to unwarranted accusations by CIA asset and self-proclaimed "journalist," Jonathan M. Katz.
It should come as no surprise that The Ecuadorian puppet "President" has escalated threats against Julian Assange as US purchases of Ecuadorian oil have soared. Nor is it a surprise that Jones' accounts were simultaneously removed when he began digging into the Bill Browder/Uranium One conspiracy involving the 2016 Clinton campaign and the Clinton Global Initiative. Until WikiLeaks began publishing the recovered (not "hacked," as has been demonstrably proven and confirmed by actual experts) and deeply incriminating DNC files, Assange was lauded by US Democrats and their media lackeys.
In the video above, Chris Cuomo of CNN -- brother of New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo -- threatens his audience with legal actionand prosecution for reading WikiLeaks material related to Hillary Clinton and the 2016 Clinton campaign, in which funds for Bernie Sanders were embezzled by DNC racketeers, such as Donna Brazille and Debbie Wasserman-Schulz.
Sadly, former President Obama made this terroristic threat "legal" with the passage of the NDAA. This form of terrorism is now legally referred to as "positive propaganda," and is ostensibly necessary because "national security."
Conveniently, the "Fake News" purge started the morning after Donald Trump was elected US President. This quickly became known as #RussiaGate, as Russia -- and President Putin, specifically -- have been blamed for literally all of the DNC's (and "Deep State's") wrongdoings since that time, albeit without a shred of evidence to back up such crackpot conspiracy theories.
The DNC even filed one of the most ludicrous and truly bizarre legal cases in world history -- against WikiLeaks and the entire country of Russia! Now, the disgraced and thoroughly unmasked "RussiaGate" conspirators have conveniently determined that Julian Assange must be extradited to US soil... to "testify" at their ridiculous and demonstrably Seditious "hearing" on the debunked Steele Dossier they, themselves, assembled.
We don't expect to be around much longer ourselves, as our Twitter account has already been removed, Blogger -- like YouTube -- is owned by Google/Alphabet, and our posts no longer appear on our G+ page. But we would be remiss in failing to note that we are extremely concerned about the safety and freedom of the unfairly, and unwarrantedly, targeted Julian Assange.
Although I had trouble confirming this, at least one source claims Prince Peter Urusov once purchased the entirety of the Black Sea.
On their honeymoon voyage, his wife's ring slipped into the sea. Recalling a family superstition that such a loss could result in a loss of his bride, Prince Urusov (spellings vary) purchased both shores from hundreds of landowners, costing upwards of $40mn. He assumed that this constituted ownership of the entire Black Sea, thus securing his marriage.
Following the Prince's death, his heirs sold the property for twice the amount he paid! The ring, however, was never recovered.
An alleged Russian satellite photograph shows the alleged entrance to the North Pole. Admiral Richard E. Byrd and a convoy allegedly disappeared in the 1950s on an expedition, following his release of information regarding the discovery of an "Inner Earth." He was not the first to have speculated on a Hollow Earth Theory.
UPDATE: This is most likely a hoax, though I can confirm nothing, and share this only for discussion. Admiral Byrd was not associated with the Hollow Earth Theory, and did not die during an expedition -- this may not even be a photo of Earth! Please see the recent post on Symme's Hole for more information on The Hollow Earth Theory. - 2018
Invented by famed English medium, Gladys Osborne Leonard (and her spirit guide, Feda), The Book Test was popular around the time of The Great War (WWI). A dead "communicator" would send a message to the living by way of a medium, who would direct the listener to a book in a location to which the medium had never been. The dead spirit's message would be found in the text on a page number specified by the medium. Like many fads of the American Spiritualist Movement at the turn of the 20th-Century, the practice was inauthentic and short-lived.
A 1921 analysis of The Book Test found no merit to the practice, though a handful of cases proved inexplicable. Of 532 tests, 17% were successful, 18% were partially successful, but 38% were total failures. It was dismissed as providing any proof of life after death.
Russian medium Nina Kulagina presented a unique twist on The Book Test phenomenon, by naming the first letter of each paragraph on given pages of randomly-chosen books.
As armchair, and active, cryptozoologists and parapsychologists, you have certainly heard of the Incident at Dyatlov Pass. Well, it just got weirder, as yet another body was found in January around the same site at which nine hikers mysteriously disappeared nearly 60 years ago.
The body, found by a group of hikers with whom rescue workers lost contact soon thereafter, was said to have been that of a male about 50-years-old.
Dyatlov Pass was named after the leader of the original hiking party that went missing on Mount Kholat Syakhl -- the Mountain of Death [translated] -- in 1959. The party was headed toward Mount Otorten, or "Don't Go There," and failed to make its checkpoint. When their camp was found, the bodies had been mangled, the tents ripped apart -- one hiker had a fractured skull and another had her tongue ripped out by its root.
Over the years, The Incident at Dyatlov Pass (as it has come to be known), has been blamed on everything from Yeti (Bigfoot) to aliens -- there was reportedly a high recording of radiation at the campsite -- to mere hypothermia-induced dementia, but no official cause of death has ever been given for the nine hikers.
While this report is daunting, it may well have been little more than a press hoax to promote the film, Devil's Pass. Of course, with names like "Don't Go There" and "Mountain of Death," it would not be unusual to find bodies in the general vicinity.
Divers to the bottom of Russia's Lake Labynkyr claim to have discovered the possible skeletal remains of a large animal. Some are saying it may be the skeleton of "The Devil" that is said to lurk in the lake. Strangely, it seems to echo a statement made by a scientist who visited the area and wrote about the creature in the 19th Century, leading some to question the veracity of the claim.
On February 1st,
divers claimed they had detected the jawbone and skeleton of a large,
unknown animal. This was the first trip to the bottom of the lake and
divers expect to garner an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the trip.
Lake
Labynkyr has generated strange reports since the 1800s, prompting some
Russians to suggest it predates Scotland's Loch Ness Monster. Russia is known
to tightly control its media, using it to generate positive interest with
false stories involving the President, for example, leading many to wonder
just how much of this should be believed. Lake Labynkyr is also notable because it never freezes completely, unlike almost all other bodies of water in the area. Many have theorized that a fissure lays beneath the lake, keeping it from freezing over entirely.
An Islamist sect was discovered after living underground for nearly a decade. Members were as young as 18 months and had not seen the sun in all that time. Prosecutors ordered many of the members to doctors for health exams, but have no intentions to prosecute anyone at this time. They did warn that they would pursue the matter should cult leaders continue refusing to allow members to seek medical treatment and education. The Fayzarahmanist sect was named after its founder, who declared himself a prophet.
Though the man has not been officially named at the time of this writing, a prominent Russian historian has been arrested by police for desecrating graves since 2010. Authorities say the 45-year-old man had dressed the remains of over 25 dead, young women in his apartment in some sort of bizarre display. He kept photographs of the women's nameplates and gravesites in order to better identify their remains and swathed them in clothes and cloth.
Those who knew him says he showed no outward signs of insanity, though he was "quirky." The historian had recently written and spoken about necrology, an interest in the dead, and said that his own interest was sparked at age 12 when a funereal procession forced him to kiss the forehead of a dead 11-year-old girl.
Russian officials say they arrested a man eating "an acquaintance's" liver with a side of potatoes after following a trail of dismemberment across Moscow.
Apparently, the limbs and head of the victim were trailed across the Russian city. Authorities followed the trail to the suspect's home, where he admitted his crime. The suspect was eating his meal at the time of his arrest. Authorities say the rest of the victim's liver was in the refrigerator.
Shortly after being released online, this video of a supposed "dead alien" in Russia became an Internet sensation. Though I do not speak Russian, I have a good idea as to the discussion taking place between the unseen recorders. The "corpse" was found near the town of Irkutsk, where strange lights have been seen and filmed in recent days.
After viewing the video, I'm going to say it's very good, but it isn't real. It is nice, though.
Following no fewer than 15 reported encounters in recent months, Russian officials are establishing an institute dedicated to the research of this Siberian Yeti out of Kemerovo State University. Dr. Igor Burtsev, who will lead the department, said he believes up to 30 Yeti live in the area in which the reports were collected during an expedition last summer.
Dr. Burtsev says the Yeti are approximately 7' tall and resemble bears with red and black fur. The tribe lives near the remote Mount Shoria region in southern Siberia. He believes these Bigfoot may be Neanderthal who have managed to survive into the present age. But, though two-legged, these Yeti are known for their tree-climbing abilities.
Dr. Burtsev said there are about 30 Russian scientists working on projects regarding the Abominable Snowman in some fashion, and all will be integrated into the new institute. Leading Russian scientists continue to deny the existence of Bigfoot, though some anecdotal evidence was uncovered during an expedition into Asia.
Due to a lack of food, bears in some regions of Russia are using graveyards "like refrigerators," according to scientists. Locals say the bears have alternately scavenged towns and trashcans, as a scorching summer has depleted their natural diet of berries, mushrooms, and the like. One young man was mauled to death by the starving beasts in Komi.
Other analysts say the bears have plenty to eat, it's simply that graveyards offer an easy food supply.
Russian fishermen are demanding an investigation into "Nesski," a lake monster in the Siberian Lake Chany, which they claim has attacked and killed 19 fishermen in the last three years. Reports suggest Nesski looks similar to the plesiosaur; it got its name because it looks similar to the classic, long-necked beast of Loch Ness (Nessie) and Lake Champlain. However, those lake monsters are not known to attack people -- in fact, they are known to avoid humans.
The 19 men who died are said to have drowned, but their remains have almost never been found. Locals claim Nesski is responsible for their deaths, and that corpses which have washed ashore show teeth marks where some large creature(s) has chewed on them. They also say the number is far higher than 19. Whatever the case, locals all agree that there is something in Lake Chany and they want someone to find out what it is.
Three homeless men with previous criminal records have been arrested in Russia on suspicion of having murdered a man, eaten him, and sold pieces of him to a local kebab house! Police say parts of a body were discovered which lead to the three men's capture. That is when police found out the men had apparently sold some of the body to the local restaurateur. The victim is thought to have been a 25-year old man.
The site does not mention whether or not anyone was actually served human flesh.
