48-year-old Catherine Kieu Becker drugged her husband's dinner, tied him to the bed, and cut off his penis as he woke-up. She then put his penis in the garbage disposal and turned it on. Her 51-year-old husband underwent emergency surgery, but little is known about his condition.
Becker has been charged with a litany of crimes, including aggravated mayhem, which could get her life in prison. She is currently being held on $1 million bond. When questioned by police, Becker said her husband - who initiated divorce proceedings some months earlier - "deserved it."

Coincidence or Fate?: Bus Driver Kills Wife, Driving Other Bus
Seventy-two-year-old Lynady was fatally injured when the bus she was driving collided into another bus, driven by her husband. Mr. Lynady was hospitalized with non-fatal wounds. The coroner reported that the late Mrs. Lynady was thrown from the bus upon impact.

Coincidence or Fate?: It's a Small World After All
While going through childhood photographs, Donna Voutsinas came upon a photograph of herself and friends at Walt Disney World in Florida. But, what caught her eye was a man in the immediate background pushing a stroller. That man turned out to be her future father-in-law, pushing her future fiance!

A Hot Piece
A woman who refers to herself as "a jealous wife" is facing murder and arson charges in Australia after she set her husband's penis on fire!
The fire killed the husband - weeks after the injuries were first inflicted - and gutted the family's home. The woman told neighbors she had only meant to burn the man's genitals: "I just wanted to burn his penis so it belongs to me and no one else ... I didn't mean [for] this to happen."

Women Suffer More From Bad Marriages
According to research done by US psychologists, women apparently suffer more physical health issues from bad marriages than men. Wives are said to be more prone to factors putting them at greater risk for heart disease, stroke, and diabetes, where men appear "immune" to these issues.
The subjects were asked a series of questions relating to a bad marriage, then they were submitted to a battery of tests to ascertain whether or not they showed signs of metabolic syndrome, a collection of symptoms which point to a raised risk for the above-mentioned health issues. Women were also more prone to Depression than men.
Accordingly, men appeared to suffer similar mental decline, but without the associated physical ailments. By this logic, men are less prone to physical damage from bad marriages.
Tell that to David Harris.
The study was conducted by a female psychologist.

Sea Denies Woman Marriage Proposal
A young couple were walking on Nesokwin Beach in Oregon at a spot which got its name from couples ready to marry. As the man went to propose, a 3' wave came crashing in. When it had receded, the woman had disappeared.
The 4', 11" woman was about 30' from the shore when next spotted. The would-be fiance stripped his extra weight to try and rescue her, but when he looked up again, she was gone.

8-year Old Marries Sweetheart, Dies
When 4-year old Reece Fleming was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2004, his family and friends decided they would do everything they could to give him what he wanted out of life before he died.
They held a LaserQuest party a few weeks back, where Reece proposed to his 'special friend,' Elleanor Purgslove. The two dined on the town, riding in the mayor's limousine, before a make-believe ceremony held in the backyard.
Reece died the following day.

Trials of the Black Widows
Two elderly women have been found guilty of murder and conspiracy to murder for financial gain, and await sentencing.
The women are both in their 70s. They met and befriended a man at a homeless shelter in, or around, 1997. After putting him up in an apartment for two years, he was found dead in an alleyway -- the apparent victim of a hit and run with no witnesses. But, it turned-out the women had taken out multiple life insurance policies on him.
In 2005, yet another man was found dead under the same circumstances. The women were tried for both murders and convicted, and now face life in prison. All-told, they collected $2.8 million off the men's deaths. Both men were homeless and destitute, without family members or friends who would miss them. Both were kept alive for two years because, after that time, the life insurance policies become incontestable.
In secretly-recorded tapes made shortly after the women were arrested, one told the other, "You were greedy - that's the problem." Her accomplice responded, "Be quiet. Don't say anything."

Sex Month? Pastor Says Yes!
A Florida pastor has requested the married in his congregation to have sex at least once a day for the entire month!
The head pastor of The Relevant Church in Florida urged married couples to have sexual relations at least once a day for the entire month, and asked single parishioners to abstain from sex for the same period.
His reasoning has to do with the high rate of divorce and pastor, Paul Wirth, believes the increased sexual activity will bring couples closer together.

Unconfirmed Oldest Man Dies Confirmed Bachelor
Hryhoriy Nestor of the Ukraine died in his sleep Friday night in the village of Stary Yarychev at 116. A confirmed bachelor, Nestor was believed to be the oldest living human being. Unfortunately, proof of his age did not reach the Guinness World Records people before his death.
The oldest living human being on record right now is Edna Parker of the US. Ms. Parker turned 114 in April.

I Now Pronounce You Man and Dog
An Indish man has married a dog in hopes of lifting what he thinks is a curse.
33-year old P Selvakumar of the Sivaganga district stoned two dogs to death several years back. Since then, he has gone blind and fallen prey to paralyzation. Selvakumar believes his run of extremely "bad luck" is connected to this incident.
Selvakumar was perfectly healthy 15 years back, but after stoning two dogs to death, his health began to fail. He says he tried every cure imaginable, but nothing helped, so on the advice of astrologers and several others, he decided to marry a dog.
The practice is actually not uncommon in Selvakumar's culture. Superstitious Indians often marry animals in attempts to ward off curses. But it really isn't so far removed from Western society; many of us marry bitches, too.
