In mid-January of this year (2012), police investigated a cattle mutilation just outside of Kansas City. The cow's udder and sexual organs had been removed by "someone who knew what they were doing," according to a veterinarian familiar with the case. Needless to say, no suspects or persons of interest have been named yet.
The cow was ill and separated from the rest of the cattle. It was fine when it was last seen the night before it was mutilated. No blood was found at the scene. Experts say the cow did not die from the mutilation, but did not know what killed it.
