Things What Done Fell from the Sky - Wolverhampton Paved

According to a French magazine of the period, black pebbles fell in such quantities over Wolverhampton, England during a violent thunderstorm that they had to be shoveled away. The incident was mentioned in a summer issue from 1860; the storm was said to have taken place in June of the same year. The pebbles were described as "angular."
