'Lost' Tomb Rediscovered

In the 19th-Century, archaeologists found the tomb of Pthames, an army chief, treasurer, and royal scribe under Set I and Ramses II's 13th-Century BC reign. Unfortunately, sandstorms buried the tomb and its location was lost to time. Now, Pthames tomb has been rediscovered and modern-day researchers are hoping the mummified remains and sarcophagi in the main chamber, which has yet to be located.

The search for the 3300-year-old "lost" tomb, over 200' in length, has taken five years. It was "lost" in 1885.
