A 21-year old transient found his way into a grizzly bear exhibit at the San Francisco Zoo. The man hid behind a bush, but one bear got close enough to gently paw him. Officials fired a warning shot into the cage to keep the animals at bay as they attempted to extricate the moron, who was somehow both uncooperative and unresponsive.
The man was taken to the hospital then released without injury. He was arrested on misdemeanor charges of trespassing and harassing an animal in captivity. The transient has a previous record of making threats and carrying a concealed weapon.
